Portrait of an Afghan Hound

I will soon have a new category on my website called Pet Portraits featuring some of the custom canvases of dogs and horses I am painting for clients.  I love painting animals and capturing their personalities on canvas.  The expression in their eyes are so important.  I am happy to work from photographs taken by my customers but, I am also willing to photograph the pets myself if they are located on Long Island.  While working from these photos, I can alter the background or create a new setting for the portrait if one is needed. This portrait of an Afghan hound was painted from a photo taken of the dog next to the coast of the Long Island Sound which is just a block away from where the pet owner lives.  It was painted on a 22"x 24" canvas so it could be hung above the living room mantle.

Rocky Point Seaside Mural

These two scenes are part of a whole-room mural in a master bathroom in a Rocky Point house.  This mural captures some of the beautiful coastal scenery of  this quaint coastal village.  The homeowner wanted a mural that would cheer her in the winter when everything outside is cold and dormant.

Swordfish in an Underwater Bathroom

The whole bathroom, including the ceiling, is painted to create a complete underwater mural.
